Episode 0 Not The Four-Sided Triangle

Hello! And welcome to the first episode of the brand new podcast Hammer House of Podcast, where Paul Cornell (Doctor Who, Elementary) and L.M. Myles (Verity!), plus occasional guests, will be discussing, in order of UK release, every horror movie made by Hammer Film Productions between 1955 and 1976, from The Quatermass XPeriment to To the Devil… A Daughter.

Alas, this first ep is not a proper episode, rather it is the teaser episode where we introduce our shiny new podcast, and Paul spends an excessive amount of time explaining why we’re not covering The Four-Sided Triangle. (Liz would have said “it’s not a horror movie” but apparently that’s just not in-depth enough.)

We are also on Twitter and Facebook, should you like to be kept up to date with our podcast, and we have a Patreon campaign should you wish to encourage our, uh, deep analysis of classic British horror:

    Hello guys!

I’ve just started your lovely Podcast (about 4 in now). I am every glad someone is doing this, been something I’ve thought about doing myself.

I was just wondering what you two thought about….I guess Hammers 1st horror….
‘The Mystery of the Mary Celeste’ (1935) with legend Bela Lugosi,
I could only get a rare deleted Dvd of the US version called The Phantom Ship, which has been shaved down to just over an hour, so I’ve never seen it as was meant to.
if you could enlighten me on what I’ve missed and your views on the film that would be great

    Many Thanks and take care

    Sam Riley
